Who we are
Massage & Bodywork Academy exists to raise the standard of massage and bodywork education. We offer continuing education designed specifically for currently practicing LMTs — practical, clinically grounded, and worth your time.
Our current offerings focus on Manual Lymphatic Drainage, with Thai Massage training coming soon. We're just getting started, and more courses are on the way as we grow.
A foundational LMT training program is also in development, with an expected launch in 2028.
About the Founder
Massage & Bodywork Academy was founded by Samantha N. Oetting, YT 500, LMT, MLD-C, BCTMB — owner and lead therapist at Bodhi Work in Ann Arbor, MI. With seven years of clinical practice and a specialty background in Traditional Thai Massage, Oncology, and Manual Lymphatic Drainage with post-operative care for breast/chest surgery.
She has lead CE curriculum in MLD for therapists across the US, and created Massage & Bodywork Academy out of a commitment to education that is accessible and organized.
Samantha is a continuing education Approved Provider (ID: 1002991) recognized by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) and is also sponsored by NCBTMB to teach New York LMTs continuing education that is accepted by the state of New York for license renewal.
